If you are selling a home, purchasing a property, or moving within Dublin Borough, please be aware that certain requirements must be completed as part of the transfer and occupancy process. The Borough requires a sewer lateral inspection prior to the transfer of ownership to verify the condition of the property’s sewer connection and identify any potential issues. This helps protect the Borough’s wastewater system and ensures any necessary repairs or deficiencies are addressed. Utility certifications are also required prior to settlement to confirm that applicable Borough accounts and requirements have been reviewed as part of the property transfer process.
Utility Certification Fees:
Water Certification $35.00
Sewer Certification $25.00
Trash Certification $15.00
Certification requests should be submitted in writing at least two weeks prior to settlement. All commercial properties are required to obtain a Use & Occupancy (U&O) Certificate prior to occupancy, ensuring the property complies with applicable Borough requirements. In addition, anyone moving into, moving out of, or moving within Dublin Borough is required to complete a registration. This helps the Borough maintain accurate records and provide important information regarding services, notifications, and requirements. Property owners, buyers, sellers, and residents are encouraged to contact the Borough office early in the process to allow adequate time to complete required inspections, certifications, permits, and registrations. For questions regarding property transfers, sewer lateral inspections, utility certifications, U&O requirements, or moving registrations, please contact Dublin Borough.
